"Where is the Internet?" and other questions I will never understand the answers to...

Lately I can't stop thinking about where the internet is. I know you are all thinking, "What a weird question!" But really, think about it. I'm on the internet right now, but WHERE is it? It's not just in my computer because it's in all of your computers too! And even if everyone got off of their computer the internet would still be there! And people keep adding to it! It's like space! It never ends! Will there come a day when the internet will run out of space? We don't know because we don't know where it is! It's kind of like phones and cell phones. A landline somehow takes your voice through a bunch of wires and puts it through someone else's phone and it does it so fast that the other person doesn't have to wait at all (or barely at all) to hear your voice even if they are on another continent! This is totally nuts to me! And if that isn't awesome enough, we now have cell phones that take your voice and transfer it to another phone through the air! WHAT?!?! This completely blows my mind! I'm sure many of you reading this think I'm not very smart and I will admit I was in consumer math in high school and in university my science credit was Astronomy but I still think I'm pretty smart. Smart enough to teach a bunch of 5th graders and take care of a baby (not sure that really proves anything, but anyway).
I'm very curious what will happen when Claire starts asking me questions about this sort of thing. Like "Mommy, how does your cell phone work?" and I'll be like "I don't know! It must be magic!" and she'll go to school and be like "My mom told me..." Yikes! Or one day she'll be like, "Hey Mom, where is the internet?" and I'll be like "I know, right!?"
