A Love Letter to My Little Girl

Dear Claire,

I love you sooooooooo much! Sometimes I think my heart will burst because it is so full of love for you. Everything you do is the cutest and funniest thing I've ever seen. 

Do you know that after you go to bed daddy and I talk about how cute and funny you are? We laugh about all the hilarious things you do, and say over and over again how amazing you are. You have such a great sense of humour. You love to make funny faces and noises, especially if they make me and daddy laugh. 

Even though I'm with you almost all the time, whenever I leave you as soon as I'm out the door all I want to do is run back in and give you a big squeeze! You truly do light up my life. I love spending time with you and when you look at me with those big, bright, blue eyes my heart melts. 

I love watching you discover new things. You can be so fearless at times as if you know daddy and I will always keep you safe. And we try to but we aren't perfect and accidents do happen, but even then all you need is big hug to make everything all better. I love it when I pick you up and you snuggle down into my neck. 

All the snot and drool in the world will not stop me from cuddling you. I love your cute little nose and when you scrunch it all up to make me laugh. 

I love your spiky hair and how it's kind of like your own little baby hair style. 
I love your tiny little hands and how you hold on so tight to my fingers when we walk together. 

I love how excited you get to see daddy each day and how when you hear those footsteps in the porch you know that he will come in and scoop you up for a "welcome home" hug. I love getting to know the beautiful and unique person God has made you to be. You are such a wonderful little girl and I often can't believe I get to be your mom! Before I fall asleep at night I often think about you and all the fun we have together and look forward to the many memories we will make in the future.
