Crafting

I've been so inspired by some of the ideas on Pinterest lately that I actually went out and bought my own sewing machine and am now making a felt book for Claire. 

So far I've only made 2 pages and I'm not very creative so I basically just copy the pages from this girl's book exactly. Here is what I have so far:

All the apples have clips on the back so that you can take them off and put them in the basket!

On the barn page the barn doors open and inside are some farm animal finger puppets (my husband, Matt, says the horse look like a penguin with a mustache)!

I'm not very good at doing corners and curves on my sewing machine yet so I ended up having to hand sew a lot of it but it is still so much fun! I can't wait until Claire is old enough to actually play with it (not just suck on it) but for now I find it fun enough for the both of us!
