They Really Do Grow Up So Fast

I was going through my pictures today and was struck by just how much Claire has learned in such a short amount of time. She will be 9 months old next week and that means she will have been alive as long outside as she was inside. It is crazy how fast she changes and grows. I remember when Claire could barely hold her head up and now she is sitting by herself and choosing what toys she wants to play with! Before when I read to her she would just stare off into space, when she got a little older she would try to eat the book the whole time and know she turns the pages and seems to remember certain pages and is starting to interact with the book!

A couple of months ago, trying to get Claire to eat solid foods was like pulling teeth. Soon she learned to love meal time and just today discovered the joys of talking with you mouth full!

I remember when Claire first smiled at me and I thought it was the most amazing thing in the world. Now she is giggling, jabbering, copying sounds and even being silly. 

Sometimes it really feels like we are having a conversation even though she isn't saying any words. It is so much fun! I can't wait to keep finding out who Claire is and what her personality will be like! It is such a privilege to get to watch each day as she learns and grows.
